first and foremost...

 Savior-
no one will ever love me or you more :) Everything I have is His.

{S} is also for

"How it works"
Swagbucks.com is an online portal dedicated to helping you earn digital dollars called "Swag Bucks", which can be redeemed for exclusive Swagbucks.com merchandise.
You can win bucks by doing things you already do anyway. I must admit, I am always leery of trying this type of thing. And I was with swagbucks as well. But I love it! I win by using their search bar, playing games, watching videos, taking surveys, voting in daily polls & there are many other ways. I have just submitted for two amazon gift cards that I "bought" with swagbucks winnings. Just for doing what I do everyday anyway. Super Duper Uber easy! It adds up very quickly!

Recover

R is for [Recover]

For the last couple of days hubby and I have had a harsh sore throat.  And while mine still is pretty sore, I am definitely on the mend. I am recovering. Or so it feels at the present moment.
The husband however, woke up today with no voice. :)
I really shouldn't have inserted smiley face there....but I'm sure most of you ladies feel me. Haha! No, I really do feel bad for him. He feels bad enough to not work so I know he doesn't feel well. Hopefully, he will feel recover and feel 100% soon!

Quickly

quick·ly [kwik-lee]

–adverb
with speed; rapidly; very soon.

With the tornado sirens blaring at 3 a.m, I quickly grabbed my kids and headed downstairs. I had every intention of camping out in the basement. Except, I have a very creepy basement. And I absolutely despise having to be down there. So rather than creep into the basement, kids in tow, I decided to have the kids lay for a bit in the living room, about 7 feet from the basement door. And as quickly as the sirens alarmed, they died down and we returned to sleep. Well, everyone but me. I had to be absolutely certain that there would be no more severe weather.

a-z blogger challenge....O is for....

the first thing that came to mind when i thought of the letter O today was
if you haven't visited her page, go on, get over there! it's pretty great. i love it there. :)

O is for Ohio. We have lived in Ohio since September 2008. I'm having a rough time right now and really missing "home" but you already knew that if you read my post for "M". (sigh)

the popular OMG-this one needs no explanation. I think it's understood by everyone.

orange juice-my kiddo isn't feeling well so we've been pouring lots of this in the past days.

Owl City-though I'm not a big fan of this group,  I like this song

A to Z blogger challenge...N is for Nice

N is for Nice

I am a brutally honest person, for the most part. I don't beat around the bush or sugarcoat things. However, I am aware that not everyone responds to this the same. Or even in a positive manor. So, that being said, I am going to do my very best to try and be nicer to people. I will still be honest, just not quite so brutal.

the letter M...getting down to the truth of the matter

the letter of the day is [m] really this letter was for about three days ago...but I'm behind so it's the letter of this post.

M is for....

Missing...I have really been missing home lately. I feel so out of my element as of late. And I'm not sure what has brought this on but I just can't shake the feeling that I don't belong here. Which is odd because we have been here for almost three years now. And with each trip back "home" I realize that it isn't home anymore. My home is here, in Ohio and I don't miss Indiana so much anymore. Until recently. I haven't felt like myself and I'm not sure what has brought that on. Maybe it's the fact that almost every one of my dearest friends are pregnant and have bigger things to worry about that making sure I get girl time. Trust me, I get that! So very understandable! But if I'm going to be honest with myself, I have to admit that I do feel left out. Or like I'm being left behind in some way.
Maybe I feel so lost because I speak my mind. Maybe I've spoke the hard truth too many times and stepped on too many toes. I'm not sure. Again, if I were going to get down to the truth of the matter, I wouldn't change that. I constantly feel like I have to hold back so I don't offend anyone. I've never done that before. Well, at least, not since I've grown up and decided who I was and what I believed in. And now that I know that, I don't know if I can change it. Don't know if I want to change it. Should I change? Should I have to? I don't know. None of the answers are coming to me.
It's possible that I've become so comfortable with our life here and happy that I subconsciously feel like it's time for a change. Since I have been with Jim, counting the move to Washington to be with him I've moved five times...in two and a half years. And that's just to what states we've gone to. That isn't counting how many different living situations we've been in in each state. And we've been in Ohio now for almost three years.

Which brings me to my next letter M...moping. Something I've done a lot of lately. I just feel blah. I know the above has a lot to do with it. Plus, I just don't talk to friends much anymore. There are certain friends in particular that I count on to keep me going, keep me laughing, keep me sane. That bond, that connection doesn't seem to be as strong as what it once was. I know, that's life. We all have our own and it takes us in different directions. It just has me questioning what it has in store for me next.

And last but not least, M is for mother.
Mom, I know you're reading this. Thank you for everything you do for me and for always supporting me. Even  if you don't always agree with me. You've been my mom, my support team, my friend. My hero. I know the light is always on. Thank you!

Just joking around!

:::J is for Jokes:::

Is mom for sale?---
Little Johnny attended a horse auction with his father. He watched as his father moved from horse to horse, running his hands up and down the horse's legs and rump, and chest.
After a few minutes, Johnny asked, "Dad, why are you doing that?"
His father replied, "Because when I'm buying horses, I have to make sure that they are healthy and in good shape before I buy."
Johnny, looking worried, said, "Dad, I think the UPS guy wants to buy Mom."

Wake up Katie---
Little Johnny and Katie are sitting in school.
Katie is sleeping and the teacher asks her a question.
"Katie, who created Heaven and Earth?" Little Johnny sees Katie sleeping and quickly pokes her with a sharp pencil.
"Jesus Christ almighty! !" Exclaimed Katie.
"Correct." Says the teacher.
So the next day the same incident occurs and the same question comes up "Who created Heaven and Earth?" Katie (Again sleeping) is poked by Little Johnny's pencil "Jesus Christ almighty!" she exclaims.
"Correct again." Says the teacher.
So the next day, for a 3rd time, The teacher asks Katie "What did Eve say to Adam when she had so many children?"
Katie (again sleeping) is poked by Little Johnny's pencil again, and screams "If you stick that thing in me one more time I am going to crack it in half!"

The gambling problem---
Little Johnny likes to gamble.
One day his dad gets a new job so his family has to move to a new city.
Johnny's daddy thinks, "I'll get a head start on Johnny's gambling."
So he calls the teacher and says, "My son Johnny will be starting your class tomorrow but he likes to gamble so you'll have to keep an eye on him."
The teacher says OK, she can handle it.
The next day Johnny walks into class and hands the teacher an apple and says, "Hi, my name is Johnny."
She says yes I know who you are.
Johnny smiles and says, "I bet you ten dollars you've got a mole on your butt."
The teacher thinks that she will break his little gambling problem so she takes him up on the bet.
She pulls her pants down and shows him her butt and there was no mole.
That afternoon, Johnny goes home and tells his dad that he lost ten dollars to the teacher and why.
So his dad calls the teacher and says, "Johnny said that he bet you that you had a mole on your butt and he lost."
The teacher says, "Yeah, and I think I broke his gambling problem."
Johnny's dad laughs and says, "No you didn't, he bet me a hundred dollars this morning that he'd see your ass before the day was over."

A-Z challenge {i}

A few short sentences about things beginning with the letter I.

Spring is here and it's finally nice outside (mostly.) This brings picnics and time at the park with your family. Barbecues and evening walks. Gardening and so on and so forth. This also means, people getting excited, rolling down car windows, and blasting loud music. Perhaps many venturing out on motorcycles or bicycles. So my first listed "I" is IDIOT drivers! They don't pay attention to the road...at all. For instance, I was preparing to make a left hand turn. From the left turn lane. Suddenly, there was someone in my lane, coming at me, from the opposite direction! She had come through the stop light and wasn't paying attention to the lanes and had assumed that the turn lane gave her free reign to accelerate around the vehicle in front of her. [or maybe she knew it was a turn lane and passed them anyway, who knows for sure] Ended up, she nearly ran herself and another vehicle off the road when she realized what kind of predicament she had gotten everyone into! Example number two, my husband was driving, coincidentally also making a left turn from the turn lane. Some guy wanting to pull onto the road from a side street on the right side attempts to cross the road from behind a bit and go around our van, but still crossing the road, nearly smashing into the front of our van, and then proceeds to flip my husband the bird!! Our vehicle was stationary the entire time, it was definitely this other mans fault. Eeesh! Just watch the road people! Or stay off of it! [ I don't mean to say all accidents are caused by idiots or that I don't make mistakes driving...just blowing off steam]

"I" number two is inflammation.
My husband has an inflamed disc in his back and has been out of commission around here for a few days. He is finally able up and about and able to spend time with us.

"I" number three: I.C.E C.R.E.A.M
Yum, yum, YUM! I love a big bowl of some good ice cream. Chocolate preferably. Or neapolitan. And I love making my own shakes. Matter of fact, I had me one tonight! Mmmmmm!

"I" number four: island

Wouldn't you like to go to this one?
Or maybe you have, it's in Hawaii. Looks lovely doesn't it? Makes me forget about the idiot drivers, the inflammation, and makes me want to have "I" number five...

A-Z blogging challenge [h]

Featured today: the letter [h]

The letter [h] is for:

homeschooling

home·school [hohm-skool]

–verb (used with object)
1. to teach (one's children) at home instead of sending them to school.
–verb (used without object)
2. to educate one's children at home.

This topic has been weighing on my mind quite a lot lately. I've come to the decision that this option might be best fitter for my daughter and this family. There are many factors that come into play with this but it all comes down to this {home school} being a major benefit to her. I want to get her out of the classroom and into an environment where she will be able to put all of her focus and attention onto on task. Rather than worry about the pressures she may be receiving from peers in the classroom.
This is going to be a MAJOR change, should I decide to enroll her in an online public school program. But where it sits now, this is the road we are about to venture onto this fall.
Wish us luck!

A-Z challenge {E}

{E} is for Easter

Jesus rose from the dead on the third day after his crucifixion.

Easter will fall on April 24 this year.
With Easter you get church services, the decorating and hiding of eggs, the Easter bunny, and overflowing baskets of goodies. A lot of families gather for feasting and celebration. We like to enjoy our holidays and celebrations as our little family gatherings. Just the 4 of us. Mostly because my family lives in a different state and my husbands family tends to get excessive with celebrations. As in drinking and arguing...we stay away from it.
